After buying this collection I realized that there is no table of contents, which makes it problematic to navigate. Granted, most poems only have a number in Latin numerals as their title, but still.I was happy to recognize the poems and look through them. The language used in this translation is showing its age though. It can be argued that this is a good illustration of the text's age, from 87 - 54bc, but in my opinion it would help present day readers to have a more modern language version available.
If you are looking for a version of Catullus' poems to browse through and don't need to look up specific texts then it'll do just fine - Catullus' emotional and at times graphic language comes through just fine.
